Many Eminent personalities from round the world from Nobel Laureat, Supreme Court Judges, Governors, Chief Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, Embassies and Consulates have extended their support and warm greetings to Peace Society Worldwide for the occasion of World Human Rights Days, 2009 observance. Some of them are published here.
"One of the major challenges we continue to face is the achievement of genuine lasting world peace. Many people have remarked that the 20th century was the century of bloodshed, with more than 200 million human beings killed in its many wars and conflicts.
Learning from past mistakes, we should make this new century, the 21st, the century of dialogue. There are still 91years of this century remaining and we therefore have the responsibility to promote a world of peace and compassion. I hope we will be able to make it happen.
With my prayers and good wishes, DALAI LAMA".

“I congratulate the Peace Society Worldwide for organizing this important seminar. As a representative of the American government let me reiterate on this occasion that promoting freedom and democracy and protecting human rights around the world are central to U.S. foreign policy. The values captured in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in other global and regional commitments are consistent with the values upon which the Unites States was founded centuries ago. We support those persons who long to live in freedom and under democratic governments that protect universally accepted human rights. Our country is committed to working with democratic partners, international and regional organizations, non-governmental organizations, and engaged citizens to support those seeking freedom”.
